SIX families, who were victims of a house fire at Kg Pancha Delima December 26, received a total sum of $5,700 as a financial aid from the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (YSHHB) yesterday.
Comprising of 19 members, the families were headed by Ramli Hj Mahali, Siti Masmah Ramli, Noorfaridah Ramli, Norikhsan Ramli, Susilayatie Ramli and Mohd Rusyuddin Ramli.
Representing all of the recipients to receive the money was Siti Masmah.
The financial assistance was handed over by the Managing Director of YSHHB Hj Brahim Hj Ismail.
In a statement by YSHHB, one of the aims of its establishment was to provide help and assistance to those in need, like the ones involved in house fire as well as other catastrophes.
Such aids were provided by the YSHHB continuously, responding to the crucial needs from time to time, and this is in line with the establishment of the organisation itself.
In addition, the handing over of donations and financial assistances was a form of love and care from the Sultan and his family members to the people, aside from helping with the societal developments in the country.
