BETTER health and more wealth are the two biggest new year resolutions Queenslanders are likely to make in 2014.
The latest ING DIRECT Financial Wellbeing Index says 47 per cent of Queensland households are likely to focus on improving their health and their financial management this year.
The index is based on a Galaxy Research survey of more than 1000 households across the state late last year.
It found one in four (24 per cent) plan to stay on top of personal debt, 22 per cent will spend less and 21 per cent plan to increase their income.
Other popular pledges among Queenslanders include quitting a bad habit (10 per cent), getting a better job (10 per cent) and undertaking self-improvement (10 per cent).
Key concerns include not being able to get ahead financially, losing their job and the economy not improving.
Eleven per cent of Gen Y households (aged 18-34) fear they'll be priced out of theproperty market this year.
